The Escarpment comprises  8,797m2 of available land, with three building envelopes totalling 6,676m2.  The site falls under the Sullivans Cove Planning Scheme 1997, administered by the City of Hobart and is zoned mixed use.

The overall development potential of Mac Point includes; commercial space, an exhibition venue, an arts and cultural precinct, accommodation, tourism infrastructure and a fifty per cent allocation for public open space.
